Much of the evidence for the regional infrastructure plans exists from the 2006
London Infrastructure Development Plan (LIDP) and subsequent research. The Plans will also draw heavily on the local and sub-regional plans being completed in December/January to ensure that they reflect the needs identified for the whole of London.
Consultation Questions
What infrastructure investment should the Business Plan (3-year Delivery and Action Plan) prioritise to meet the needs of London's frontline Third Sector organisations? Where a problem is identified, please suggest a possible solution and an indicative annual cost.
At what level should each priority you identify be delivered: local (borough), sub-regional or regional?
Can you evidence need against PEGS or PEST?
What is missing? Please let us know if we have missed something of importance, providing brief evidence of need, a possible solution and indicative cost.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
This book draws on the expertise of leading organisations engaged in the fields of work and of newcomers. It is aimed at advisers, representatives, advocates and other parties interested in ensuring that working age migrants are aware of their rights and of the help that is available in and out of work.
Since the first edition the content of the handbook has been significantly broadened with two specific discrimination sections (on gender and race), a separate section on refugees and asylum seekers, and a new section of employment tribunals. A number of sections have also been expanded, such as the sections on English language and on recognition of qualifications. There are also new sections on renting in the private sector, UK work culture and citizenship.
The book provides a comprehensive overview of support that is available for working age migrants in the UK. For more information please contact Jade Onofrio on 020 7582 7221 or e-mail
